Life is not a destination. Life is a road we travel. I am grateful to be on this imperfect spiritual journey. From a sailor's sea bag comes experience, strength and hope, along with some flotsam and jetsam.
To God my strength I cry out:
To you I turn! Hear me!
You are my stronghold in time of trouble: grant me the wisdom and the courage to place my trust in you.
You are my defender against all evil: teach me always to call upon you in prayer.
You have delivered your people from death by the power of the cross: strengthen me to bear another’s burden in love.
