How many times while driving down the road do you check your instrument panel for speed, oil pressure, and water temperature?
You depend on these to indicate a trouble-free journey or to warn you of mechanical danger.
By the same token, I use the same continuous inventory through a sharpened conscience to warn me that some thought, word, or deed of mine is out of line.
It is then up to me to correct it immediately. . . .
Only when I put it off does a molehill become a mountain.
