Thoughts on the Day

It’s been a good day at the Bomb Plant ... our future looks bright but with challenges.

B-) ... Maine guv to NAACP: 'Kiss my butt'... you need to read the article!

B-) ... Red Sky at Night: Sicily looks on as Mount Etna erupts ...
In the 1970s during my Navy days, I was station in Sicily ... NAS Catalina ... and made a trip to the top of Mt. Etna and looked into the volcano.
It was less active than but fun.
The most memorable part was we went up on a cable car and came down the mountain on a bus ... a bus ride I can still remember ... still gives me the willies ... B-)

B-) ... It's A Miracle: Pope John Paul II one step from sainthood ... a model of "love, respect and forgiveness for all." ... one miracle to go!
Praying for one in the U.S. ... we need it.

B-) ... Editorial: Our better selves ... worth a read!
My favorite quote from it: “A majority of Americans are dismissing the notion that the shooter was set off by a Sarah Palin political map, tea party anger, or talk about “second amendment remedies.” A CBS poll Tuesday showed 57 percent of Americans don’t believe political rancor played any role in the attack, with a plurality of Democrats, Republicans, and Independents agreeing. And so the left’s first reaction, and an eagerness to link the shooting to political anger on the right, could backfire...”
I love it when the media and pundits get it wrong ... haven’t seen any retraction?

Love days off but dislike short work weeks ... this one of those paradoxes? ... I seem to have a lot of them in my life.
Same amount of work only less time to do it.
Oh! I have another one next week thanks to MLK ... B-)

Lets recap the week, two snow days for me, the media cannot get it correct, Nikki Haley was sworn in as SC Governor, one miracle to go to a new saint, and Sicily has a natural fireworks show.
And Mother Nature is having her way with Planet Earth.

There was one more item this week ... what was it ... love, respect and forgiveness for all.
Enjoy your weekend ... B-)

We cannot change the directions of the wind, but we can adjust our sails.
Have a beautiful day unless you plan otherwise. ... B-)
